There is a minimum bending radius (MBR) for all cables, whether flexible or umbilical, beyond which the cable may sustain significant damage and lose its ability to function. Subsea bend restrictors helps reduce this hazard.
Bend restrictor function
A polyurethane bend limiter assembly is a device which is mounted around the cable and attached to the structure so that bending of the cable will be prevented beyond the designed locking radius of the bend limiters, thus preventing the cable from overbending.
Major features
Interlocking male and female mouldings
Proven polyurethane materials for the harshest environments
Lightweight, easy and quick to install.
Designed and manufactured according to API 17L
Application field
Bending restrictors are primarily used in the offshore wind industry and offshore oil platforms and are designed to mechanically limit line bends beyond their permitted MBR. Typical applications include supporting flexible pipes/cables on free spans, protecting lines around other rigid structures such as PLETs, wellheads, cable joints and J/I pipe outlets. Bending limiters only provide protection when the line reaches a certain MBR.
Philson manufacturer advantage
The vulkollan bend limiters produced by Chinese manufacturer Philson can be used either as a standardized product for a wide range of common diameters, loads and MRB, thereby reducing lead time and increasing installation efficiency, or as a fully customized solution that allows design customization of various functions, providing customization methods to suit your specific application.

Polyurethane coated wheels provide industry-specific solutions for logistics, manufacturing, and specialized environments, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and protecting valuable assets.
Selecting and installing polyurethane forklift wheels requires careful consideration of load capacity, floor conditions, operating environment, and the specific function of each wheel type. Proper installation involves safely lifting the forklift, removing old wheels, inspecting components, and securely fitting new wheels to manufacturer specifications.
Urethane’s superior durability, chemical resistance, customizability, and long-term cost advantages make it an ideal material for modern industrial needs. As demands for efficiency, automation, and reliability continue to rise, urethane wheels are well-positioned to become the new standard in industrial mobility.
Key Considerations for Selecting Polyurethane Wheels for Electric Forklifts
11 May, 2023Polyurethane wheels are widely used in electrical forklifts because of their excellent durability, load-bearing capacity, and resistance to wear and tear. However, selecting the right wheels is crucia
